Hawkwind are the once and future band, of the past and of the future at the same time. It feels as though they are always there, and always will be. I hope so. They are a British institution, one that has featured anyone from Lemmy to Michael Moorcock, to Ginger Baker.
‘All Aboard The Skylark’ is Hawkwind’s 32nd studio album (there are probably slightly more live ones!), and it is a worthy companion to such albums are ‘Warrior At The Edge Of Time’ and ‘Hall Of The Mountain Grill’.
Also worthy of praise is the excellent ‘Acoustic Daze’ album that comes with ‘All Aboard The Skylark’, and does exactly was it says on the tin.
In a world constantly in flux, it’s comforting that Hawkwind are still with us to soundtrack the journey!
