Euroblast Festival is an annual showcase for the best in progressive and tech metal featuring young and upcoming artists as well as ones that already reign over the scene. As festival organizers say: “Call it Prog, Tech, Death, Post or just – well – music; we like it virtuous, experimental and mind blowing.” Many bands like Uneven Structure, Destiny Potato, The Algorithm and more have taken their first steps on this festival’s stages.
Euroblast’s 15th edition will be taking place on 27-29 September 2019 at Essigfabrik in Cologne, Germany.
Previous festival editions have hosted many influential names like Meshuggah, Textures, Animals As Leaders, Devin Townsend Project, Tessaract, Sikth… just to mention a few more.
The waves of band announcements have begun and this year’s line up is looking as strong as ever. So far 34 out of 49 bands have been announced.
Saturday’s headliner is American progressive metal band Between The Buried And Me, who will perform two sets on their upcoming EU tour -including Euroblast Festival. However, it has not yet been announced which kind of sets they plan to perform.
As Sunday’s headliner, the festival will be welcoming back Australian masters of heavy fusion Twelve Foot Ninja.
By popular demand, Danish proggers VOLA, the French Uneven Structure and Swedish alt rock trio Port Noir will bring their groove back to Euroblast yet again, as well as alternative rockers Dead Letter Circus and Danish progressive metalheads Ghost Iris amongst many others. There also will be plenty of newcomers to the festival: metalcore band Atlas Northcore from Finland will bring their heavy riffs and catchy melodies to the stage, Danish act Odd Palace will present their catchy prog rock, while Aphyxion from Denmark will offer their metalcore vibes combined with death metal growls .

The festival pre- party “Ignite Night” will take place the Thursday 26.09.2019 in the Club Volta. Doors will be at 18:30, The night will feature performances of four bands and the entry is free for all festival tickets holders.
