The Cult – Choice Of Weapon

Without further ado I want to state that Choice Of Weapon is an excellent rock album that can easily hold its own against classic The Cult albums, like Love(1985), Electric (1987) and Sonic Temple (1989). It’s quite a statement, but Choice Of Weapon is simply that good.

CloverSeeds—The Opening

CloverSeeds have an accessible modern prog sound that plucks bits from the accepted gallery of influences: Tool, Radiohead, Porcupine Tree, Anathema… It’s big and blustery, with taut riffing and grand, sweeping gestures in any number of time signatures, all presented with clean, powerful production.

The Pineapple Thief – 3000 Days

For those who are not familiar with The Pineapple Thief, this UK band is classified as a crossover progressive rock band. The four piece band’s most recent release is 3000 days, which is a double CD compilation which collects tracks off of The Pineapple Thief’s first few albums
