Iron Man – The Passage
After reissuing their debut album Black Night, Shadow Kingdom now brings us a new pressing of The Passage, the stellar sophomore album from Maryland doomsters Iron Man. Album number two was a huge step forward for the trad doom outfit, as it saw the welcoming of new singer Dan Michalak into the fold, along with future Spirit Caravan/Pentagram drummer Gary Isom.
Various Artists – We Wish You a Metal Xmas…
While not every track can boast the same impressive quality, We Wish you A Metal Xmas… offers a bit of sonic relief from the repetitive soundtrack that normally accompanies the Christmas season. If you take it with a grain of salt and pinch of irony, you might even find yourself enjoying a carol or two.

Jason spoke to Craig earlier this month about the recent DIO live album Dio At Donington UK: Live 1983 & 1987. The latter show was Craig’s first major festival appearance as a member of DIO, and reminisces about both the performance and that first European tour in this three part interview.

If it’s sitting down to catch your breath, or grabbing a drink or a bite to eat, there are plenty of reasons causing one to miss one or too many killer bands.
